Case study: Marchbank Free School

Marchbank Free School is a full-time educational provision for primary aged children with Social Emotional and Mental Health difficulties (SEMH) and associated needs.

Marchbank is situated in Darlington, serving both Darlington and the surrounding area. The school, which opened in 2013, is part of the Education Village Trust, which also runs four other schools in the area. Marchbank delivers the National Curriculum using principals drawn from the Steiner philosophy, such as a focus on creativity and imagination.
