At NSN, we entirely agree on the importance of making sure all children have access to outstanding comprehensive schools. No primary or secondary free school selects on the basis of ability. Instead, we see so many free schools, which are more likely to be rated Outstanding and are the top performing type of school at Key Stage 1, 4 and 5, open in disadvantaged areas to ensure all children, regardless of their background, have access to excellent provision."
