The Wren school, a secondary free school in Reading set to open in September has received overwhelming positive support from the local community. The public sent a positive message to the West Reading Education Network after a public consultation, with 97 per cent saying the free school will ''enhance the community.''
The Wren School team have welcomed the news. Jo Broadhead, Headteacher of the school said: ''The public consultation shows that community endorsement for The Wren School is very strong. This bodes well for the future opening of a new secondary school in West Reading, offering places to 168 students in each year group and the creation of jobs for teachers and support staff.”
