Marine Academy Primary in Plymouth has been graded "outstanding" in every single category by Ofsted. It is the first free school primary in the South West to be ranked at this level. The school opened in September 2013 and is led by Siobhan Easton, who became the UK's youngest headteacher when she took over the role this year. Ofsted praised her for her "exceptional leadership skills, demonstrating her ability to motivate and inspire whilst not compromising her high expectations." The school team was also highly praised by Ofsted inspectors: "Teaching is outstanding. Teachers are passionate and show a determination to provide the best education they can for pupils."
Siobhan comments: "I am delighted that our Ofsted inspection was exceptionally succesful and reflective of our day to day practise at Marine Academy Primary. I am honoured to lead the academy and work alongside so many talented and passionate members of staff who have the highest of work ethics. Together we will continue to ensure that our children are inspired and provided with fantastic opportunities to become lifelong learners and positive citizens of the future."
