Free School in Sunderland opens with new extension

Pupils at Grindon Hall Christian School in Sunderland began their school term on September 23rd after work had to be completed on a  £3 million extension, which included a 14-classroom Primary school building. The school community are now making use of their new improved facilities.

The School Principal Chris Gray stated: ‘We are delighted with how things are going when you think that last year we had more than 500 children in a space for just over 300.’

Grindon Hall which was granted its Free School status in September 2012 is an All Through school which runs a longer day for pupils to have longer lessons.
