Barrow 1618 Primary School celebrates its first year as a Free School

A primary school in Shropshire has celebrated an end to a successful first year as a Free School. After opening last September with around 30 pupils Barrow 1618 has taken on another 30 children and has received excellent feedback from the local community.

One parent described it as being ‘an exceptional school that encourages children of all abilities and recognises children’s achievements on all levels.’ Barrow now has a waiting list of children wanting to attend and work is under way on a new sports hall.
