The Pears Family School

The Pears Family School is an alternative provision school for those aged 5-14 in Islington, North London. The school, which opened in 2014, was established by the Anna Freud Centre and a number of education and healthcare professionals to provide suitable education to young people who struggle with mental health conditions. It can cater for up to 48 pupils and offers a national curriculum supplemented and supported by therapeutic techniques. Each student receives academic mentoring and pastoral care according to their own individual needs, and the school prides itself on its personal approach with both students and their families.
