Bradford Girls' Grammar School is an all-through school for 4-18 year olds in West Yorkshire. The primary school is co-educational, whereas the secondary school and sixth form are for females only. The existing independent school converted to free school status in 2013 and can cater for up to 1061 students. Girls who have just transitioned to Year 7 are helped to settle in by attending a two day team-building residential trip to Chomondeley Castle in Cheshire. The school has a broad curriculum which offers subjects such as Latin and there are also opportunities to get involved with extra-curricular activities such as the Duke of Edinburgh award and World Challenge.
