A primary school for 4-11 year olds in Redbridge. The school, which opened in 2011, was established by an academy chain to help meet a need for new school places locally. It will serve 420 pupils when full and has a particular focus on developing their literacy and numeracy as a foundation for other areas of the curriculum. There is also a strong emphasis on music, with all pupils given the chance to develop their musicality by learning to play the ocarina in Key Stage One, before being given the opportunity to learn a classical musical instrument through free, weekly violin lessons delivered by a professional musicians from the beginning of Key Stage Two. In 2014 the school’s management was changed and it is now run by Loxford School Trust, which oversees three other schools in the area.
