A mixed mainstream primary school for 4-11 year olds in St Albans, Hertfordshire. The school opened in 2012, and was set up by a parent and community group to meet a shortage of primary school places in the area. It will serve 420 pupils when full, and offers extended school hours and healthy meals to benefit working parents. The school offers a wide range of lunchtime and after school activities including modern foreign languages, sport, drama and art. Alban City School is passionate about its supportive and inclusive learning environment, characterised by its weekly collective assemblies and worship sessions, which celebrate diversity as well as educating its pupils about different faiths and other important subjects.
