NSN is pleased to be running this best practice webinar on Staff wellbeing for free school leaders. We know that promoting good staff wellbeing is the key to recruitment and retention of staff and is more important than ever. While the pandemic has made all industries consider issues around staff mental health, wellbeing, and flexible working, we want to ask how school leaders can think outside the box and develop strategies for supporting all staff (including themselves) as their school grows.
We are pleased to confirm our panel for the event:
Sue Plant FCCT is the headteacher of John Taylor Free School. Sue has been recognised for her innovative approach to recruitment and for offering flexible working patterns to teaching staff alongside supporting a trust-wide culture of coaching and development for all staff.
Gary Wilkie is the CEO of Learning In Harmony Trust, a special school trust with a free school due to open in Newham. Gary served on the advisory board that helped develop the Department for Education's Wellbeing Charter, and has spoken frequently on the subject of staff wellbeing.
Steve Waters FCCT is the founder and director of the Teach Well Alliance, an organisation designed to support school leaders to manage staff mental health and wellbeing. As well as providing consultancy support to schools, Steve has recently published "Cultures of Staff Wellbeing and Mental health in Schools: 32 case studies", which features John Taylor Free School.
