Derby Pride Academy is an alternative provision school for those aged 11-16 in Derby. It opened in 2012 and can cater for up to 50 pupils who are not thriving in mainstream education. The school works in collaboration with Derby County Football Club to provide good education outcomes and redirection work for its pupils. A strong emphasis is put on Personal Development in order to teach students to communicate with others effectively.
Cramlington Village Primary School opened in 2012 in Northumberland. The school was established by a group of teachers and has one form of entry. An innovative approach is taken to learning by having iPads available in every class, as the school understands the importance that technology will have for their pupils in the future. The school also take cultural and seasonal approaches to their teaching, as well as bridging the gap between learning and playtime with a variety of indoor and outdoor activities.
Corby Technical School is a secondary school and sixth form in Corby, Northamptonshire. The school, which opened in 2012, was started by Brooke Weston Trust, which runs a number of successful schools in the local area. The school's curriculum has a strong focus on science, engineering, technology and maths which helps students pursue careers in engineering, architecture, computing and electronics. The school was inspected by Ofsted in 2014 and found to be ‘Outstanding’ in all areas.
ContinU Plus Academy is an alternative provision school for 11-17 year olds in Kidderminster, Worcestershire. The school, which opened in 2013, can cater for up to 90 pupils who are not thriving in mainstream education. The school is part of the ContinU trust, which was established by a group of seven secondary schools in Wyre Forest and Hagley, and Kidderminster College. The school takes a personalised approach to its pupils, with a curriculum that includes outdoor learning as well vocational, therapeutic and academic pathways.
