Join NSN for a Spotlight visit to Wac Arts College in Hampstead, North London on Thursday 3rd October. Fill out the sign-up form above.
Spotlight visits are half-day events aimed at senior leaders from open, pre-open and applicant free school groups. The host school provides several presentations to share their best practice and discuss their free school journey, along with a tour of the school to see the great work they are doing in action.
Spotlights are free to attend.
Wac Arts College is an alternative provision free school that provides education for students aged 14-19 through a creative arts and media curriculum. The college works in partnership with Wac Arts, a community performing arts charity, which has supported disengaged young people for forty years.
Wac Arts College opened in 2014 and uses their arts and media curriculum to put the pleasure back into learning for students that have been alienated or excluded from mainstream education.
In 2017, Wac Arts College was rated Good by Ofsted.
Sessions will include:
- Learning walk of the school building
- Preparation for Ofsted as an AP
- Safeguarding and behaviour management
- Challenges faced throughout the journey
This Spotlight has been designed to meet the needs of senior leaders from open, pre-open and applicant alternative provision free schools. Each group can sign up two attendees.
