Join NSN for a Spotlight visit to East London Arts and Music (ELAM) in Tower Hamlets on Wednesday 26th February. Fill out the sign-up form above to confirm your place.
Spotlight visits are half-day events for senior leaders of open and pre-open free school groups. The host school gives several presentations sharing their best practice and discussing their free school journey, along with a tour of the school to see the great work they are doing in action.
Spotlights are free to attend.
ELAM is a 16-19 college that opened in 2014 with the aim to increase the number of young people from disadvantaged backgrounds pursuing careers in music, film, television production and games design.
The school curriculum focuses on music and the creative arts, while also allowing time for students to develop their literacy and numeracy skills. Throughout the day, there will be the chance to learn about and see ELAM's project-based industry curriculum for Music, Games and Film in action, as well as how to build a culture and systems where students can contribute to the improvement of teaching and learning.
In 2017, ELAM was rated Outstanding in all areas by Ofsted.
This is a fantastic opportunity to learn from the leaders of an outstanding and established free school, and discuss the challenges they have overcome.
Each group can sign-up two attendees. The content will be relevant to free school leaders from 16-19 and secondary schools with a sixth form.
