Join NSN for a Spotlight visit to the Chichester Free School on Tuesday 3rd December. Fill out the sign-up form above.
Spotlight visits are half-day events aimed at senior leaders from open, pre-open and applicant free school groups. The host school gives several presentations sharing their best practice and discuss their free school journey, along with a tour of the school to see the great work they are doing in action.
Spotlights are free to attend.
Chichester Free School is an all-through free school, providing places for students aged 4 to 19. They opened in 2013 and have been inspected twice by Ofsted, both times being rated Good.
The school spent six years in temporary accommodation and have now moved into their stunning permanent site, which comprises partly of a converted 19th century convent.
This is a fantastic opportunity to learn from the leaders of an established free school, and discuss the challenges they have overcome.
The day is aimed at senior leaders from other all-through free schools or primary and secondary schools that work closely with another school of a different phase. A lot of content will be focused on the benefits of working across phases.
Sessions will include:
- Challenges faced in temporary accommodation
- Preparing for Ofsted
- Strategies to ensure smooth transition for students from primary to secondary
- How students benefit from learning across phases
Each group can sign up two attendees.
