Having received their results, students commented:
“I had a pit in my stomach which has now been completely filled.” said Shaun Hennell.
“I feel alright.” said Rupert Dale.
“I was nervous but now I’m really happy.” added Katie Evans.
The school, which opened with its first Year 7 pupils in 2014, is delighted to announce that its second ever set of results show a significant improvement on the previous year. This outcome aligns with the upward trajectory anticipated by the school as it becomes more established.
Of note, the number of pupils achieving grades 9 to 4 in both English and mathematics rose to 85% from 78% in 2019. 80% achieved 5 standard passes including English and mathematics, up from 70%.
Delighted pupils were invited to collect their results from 9.00am on 20th August and their hard work and efforts certainly paid off, despite the national changes to the way that GCSE results were derived this year as a result of school closures. While league tables have not been published this academic year, Year 11 pupils at the school achieved exceptional results, which, in ordinary circumstances, firmly places the school well above average compared to other schools both locally and nationally.
Given the government’s announcement about the removal of the publication of school level data, and the unique method of arriving at grades for students, Worcestershire County Council supported by Worcestershire Children First confirmed that they will not be collecting and publishing school level data this year. Holy Trinity as with other Worcestershire schools and colleges therefore will not be publishing individual school level data.
The cohort of pupils – CFS's first ever Year 7s back in 2013 – have achieved a 100% pass rate and nearly a third of all grades were at grade A* or A, above the national average. The School has seen particular success in Chemistry and Physics, with 100% of students achieving an A* or A and, in the maths department, 80% of all grades were awarded at this highest level in both Maths and Further Maths A Levels. Several CFS students also completed the Extended Project Qualification in a variety of topics with great success.
Ealing Fields High School staff and students were delighted to have a very important guest to show around their new school building earlier today.
The Prime Minister, The Rt Hon Boris Johnson MP, arrived at 9am and was met by the Associate Headteacher, Mark Bedford and Senior Project Manager Keith McGinness of building contractor Bowmer + Kirkland.
Following the Brexit referendum and a period of uncertainty Europa School’s students can breathe a little easier knowing the school can offer the IB Diploma Programme from September 2020. This accreditation follows a rigorous programme of staff training and inspection by the International Baccalaureate Organisation (IBO).

“Governors with no prior association with the school bring much to the table. Their board-level knowledge and experience help us plan and shape the strategic direction of the school’s educational offer and provision.
“School governors contribute significantly to students’ education, opportunities and their futures, and our educational offer advances thanks to their leadership experience and business expertise.”
This opens up the potential for the school’s senior department to decant from its current temporary accommodation in West Molesey and relocate to their permanent facility in Cobham ahead of the previously scheduled date of September 2021. The sixth form is already based at the Munro House site, following its successful opening in September 2019.
