Trinity Sixth Form Academy in Halifax have received an exemplary Ofsted report.
New Schools Network would like to extend our congratulations to Trinity Sixth Form Academy for receiving an 'Outstanding' Ofsted grade under the new inspection framework. The recent report marks a remarkable school turnaround for the school which opened in 2013 as The Maltings College and subsequently became part of the Trinity Multi-Academy Trust. The last time the school was inspected in 2018 it received a 'Requires Improvement' classification.
The Ofsted report stated: "Leaders and governors foster a culture of exceptionally high expectations for students' academic success. Leaders are committed to providing excellent education that not only powerfully addresses social disadvantage but is also highly relevant to local and regional skills gaps, particularly in the health professions and digital industries. The result is an ambitious curriculum that equips students exceptionally well with the knowledge and skills that they need to progress to higher education or employment."
Trinity Sixth Form Academy Principal Michael Fitzsimons commented: “As a sixth form community we are delighted and incredibly proud of achieving the Outstanding judgment by Ofsted, which can be credited to the exceptional hard work of all our dedicated team and of course our wonderful students.”
