One in a Million Free School in Bradford had its official opening on Friday. Lord Nash, Parliamentary Under-Secretary of State for schools performed the honours by unveiling the special plaque which is housed in the schools atrium.
The school is based in the Bantams Business centre in Bradford city’s Football clubs former club shop.
It has opened with 60 year 7 students and hopes to reach a capacity of 420 students by 2019.
In his speech, Jez Stockhill, the school’s head teacher said that: it is “the culmination of a long and important journey”. He later added that “It has been a very positive event, and goes towards cementing our vision for a small secondary school in Bradford.”
