Massive school expansion planned for Surrey

Surrey County Council has approved an extra £93 million in funding for new school places in Surrey. However schools in South Woking have not been allocated extra funds and parents are instead hoping to open a new Free School in the area.

Hoe Valley Free School, who are currently recieving support from the New Schools Network Development Programme, are hoping to open a new secondary school in 2015. Claerwyn Hamilton-Wilkes told the BBC "What we've decided to do is to take advantage of the Free School movement and set up our own local secondary school for the children in the area."
