This week Cobham Free School students received an excellent set of A-level results, the first ever for the school, founded in 2012, and another fine set of GCSEs. The results were awarded following a rigorous teacher assessed grading process and moderation, due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
The superb A-levels outcomes will have secured the first cohort of Year 13 students with places at top leaving destinations. Across all subjects there was 89% A* - C pass rate, with 44% of grades being A* and A. Students performed exceptionally well in geography with 100% achieving A* - A, in maths with 83% A* - A, and in economics, with 80% A* - A. More than half the cohort completed and achieved superb results in the Extended Project Qualification.

The results are testament to the hard work of our student cohort and skills of the talented, highly dedicated teachers across the school.
"The A-level results are exceptional and will enable our Year 13 students to pursue their career aspirations and enter top destinations, including medical school and Russell Group universities. The GCSE students in Year 11 have also obtained tremendous results, having persevered with their studies during lockdown and COVID-19 disruptions. With the completion of our new building in March 2021 and an amazing set of public examination outcomes, this really has been a milestone year in the history of Cobham Free School. Our aim to develop an exceptional education facility for the Cobham community has become a reality.”
Helen Johnson, Head of Sixth Form stated: “I am incredibly proud of the achievements of our first A-level students. Their results represent two years of dedication and open doors to exciting and successful futures for all.”
