The Springboard Project is a special school for 14 to 19 year olds in Oldham. The school was opened in 2019 and specialises in supporting pupils with behavioural, social, emotional and mental health issues. It provides a high quality and innovative educational experience for pupils, including in English, maths, science and computing as well as vocational subjects and preparation for independent living. It is part of the New Bridge Multi Academy Trust, which provides the school with the innovative ‘Bridging the Gap’ internship programme. This was developed in collaboration with the Royal Oldham Hospital and Manchester Metropolitan University and gives students excellent preparation for future employment.
