New Islington Free School

New Islington Free School is a primary school in Manchester. The school, which opened in 2013, can cater for up to 420 pupils and was established by Manchester Grammar School, a large independent school in the area. For the entirety of their time at the school, pupils study a 'Golden Thread' through the curriculum which reflects the 24 nationalities that the school has. From Year 2, pupils follow an Accelerated Reader programme which develops their reading skills, comprehension and motivation for reading.
