A mainstream, 16-19 school in Rutland. The school, which opened in 2015, was founded by a group of local state and independent schools. It will serve 300 students will full and aims to give all its pupils the opportunity to gain the qualifications and grades necessary to be accepted into a Russell Group university. This means that its curriculum focuses on the academic, 'facilitating' subjects which those universities typically require for entry. Pupils are also expected to complete an Extended Project Qualification in which they write a dissertation on a topic of their choice.
