South Quay College is an alternative provision school for 14 to 19 year olds in Tower Hamlets, London. The school opened in 2012 and can cater for up to 486 students who are not thriving in mainstream education. The school was established by the charity City Gateway, who they have since split from but they still work closely with. The school aims to create high aspirations and strong foundations for its students to progress into sustained education and employment. There are a range of routes that students at the school can take, including Progression Pathways for job readiness, pre-employment training and apprenticeship programmes.
