THE DEADLINE FOR APPLICATIONS FOR 2011/2012 HAS NOW CLOSED.

We will be in touch with all the groups that applied for the Development Programme shortly to let them know if they have been shortlisted for interview.

The timeline for the 2011/12 programme is:

• 9 September – 14 October: application window. 
• 17 October – 11 November: interviews held for shortlisted groups.
• Week beginning 14 November: successful groups are announced.

We will invite up to 40 groups for interview – and we will be awarding up to 20 places on the programme. The interviews will be an hour long and aim to test the potential of groups and their need for extra support.

At the point at which applicants are interviewed we expect there to be six months until the DfE’s deadline. We would therefore expect groups to have a clear and coherent vision, and to have started on their curriculum plans. We would not expect them to have completed a plan for their school but they should understand what work is involved and have thought about where they need help.
