NSN Spotlight to Harris Westminster Sixth Form

Introduction

Join NSN for this visit to Harris Westminster Sixth Form on Wednesday 22 March 2017.

Description of opportunity

Harris Westminster Sixth Form (HWSF) is a selective 16-19 free school, which was established with the goal of increasing the rate of entry to top universities among students from areas of socio-economic deprivation. Sponsored by both the Harris Federation and Westminster School, HWSF opened in 2014 and has since gained outstanding outcomes for its first cohort of pupils, with many gaining offers from prestigious universities, including Oxford and Cambridge. The school’s success was confirmed in its first Ofsted inspection, where it was graded Outstanding in every category.

The visit is a fantastic opportunity to see an outstanding 16-19 free school in action as well as meet with the principal and teachers at the school. The day is also a chance for you to meet other leaders from 16-19 free schools and secondary free schools with sixth form provision.

This half day event, which is completely free to attend, will include a tour of the school, lunch, networking and the opportunity to share best practice.

A small number of places are available for the visit, which we expected to be in high demand.
